I was born in Manfredonia, a small town in southern Italy, where graffiti marked my first steps into the world of visual arts. Through this, I learned to see cities in a new light, developing a sensitivity to details that often go unnoticed and an appreciation for Italian urban design and architecture.
In 2007, with the emergence of early smartphones and editing software, I began creating and publishing videos on YouTube. This passion ran alongside my studies at the Foggia Art Institute, where my graduation project was a collection of 1,000 self-portraits taken over three years, documenting my transformation during that time. While studying, I worked as a car repair technician, a role that taught me problem-solving and adaptability with limited resources.
Determined to achieve financial independence, I started social media pages focused on travel and dropshipping. These ventures enabled me to fund my university studies in cinema at Macerata, where I delved into filmmaking techniques. An Erasmus exchange in Cyprus allowed me to further explore video production and animation, but I soon realized that photography could offer me greater creative and professional freedom. This led me to the Canary Islands, where I completed an internship as a photographer and videographer for a fashion agency.
When the COVID pandemic hit, I seized the opportunity to invest in myself, enrolling in courses at Motion Design School and School of Motion. These experiences allowed me to collaborate with Smart Launcher, creating a video that surpassed 1 million views. Simultaneously, I began selling Lightroom presets and sharing my workflow and photography online, reaching over 90 million views on Unsplash.
In 2022, ready for a new challenge, I moved to Sydney despite not speaking English fluently. After a challenging start, I landed my first contract as a video editor with AM Visuals and began collaborating with WeLove Sydney and Zoku Creative. However, the requirements of my Working Holiday Visa took me to the rural town of Katherine for four months, where I worked as a bartender. Returning to Sydney, I joined The Hive, working on diverse projects in real estate, hospitality, construction, and software. I also collaborated with the City of Sydney to capture major events like Mardi Gras, St. Patrick’s Day, and Vivid Sydney.
As my visa neared its end, I chose to forgo sponsorship to return to Europe, reconnecting with my family and the cultural richness of the continent. Before settling down, I traveled across Australia, New Zealand, New Caledonia, and Southeast Asia, working on a personal photojournalism project.
After six months of travel, I moved to Toronto to work as Head of Content for Panes Windows. Unfortunately, the department was closed after seven months. Today, I continue to explore new opportunities in the visual storytelling world, driven by my passion for capturing and sharing compelling narratives through images and videos.
